Pastors - Jon L. Smith & Elizabeth Garcia-Smith

Lead Pastors
Pastor Jon Smith is from Slidell, LA.  He was called to ministry in 1998 while playing college football at Northwestern State University.  He answered the call of God in1999 and went into full-time ministry as a Youth Pastor.  He received an Associates of Arts Degree in Urban Missions and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from the S.U.M Bible College & Theological Seminary.  Pastor Smith is currently a candidate for a Masters in Organizational Leadership at Southwestern Assembly of God University.  He is a man of prayer and is called to be a leader in the Body of Christ.  His heart is to leave a legacy for the next generation to walk in the fullness of the power, presence, and anointing of God.

Pastor Elizabeth Garcia-Smith is from New York City, originally born in Caguas, Puerto Rico.  While living in NYC, she was employed by the Board of Education and was a Middle School teacher in Brooklyn, NY.  She was called to ministry in 1998 and moved to New Orleans in 2000 to receive training from S.U.M. Bible College and Theological Seminary; where she received an Associates of Arts Degree in Urban Missions.  She has a Masters Degree in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Masters Degree in Biblical Theology from Southwestern Assembly of God University.  
                                                               Pastor Garcia-Smith is
 passionate about ministering to people through prayer, she is in 
                                                               love with the Holy Spirit,
and is a "Woman of Fire".  She is called to bring dead things to life.

Pastors Jon & Elizabeth have been at House of Prayer for 12 years.  They worked as the youth pastors in 2000-2001 and became the Senior Pastors in 2003. They have a heart for Revival and came back to rebuild the church after Hurricane Katrina.  They have traveled to Argentina to experience the revival that has moved through that country for decades and desire to release the fire of God throughout the Greater New Orleans area, the United States, and the World
